Well between all my art projects I have been working on a TK-Stormtrooper helmet for the 501st TK Helmet Project. The helmet will be auctioned off for charity this summer. I will have more information for you soon on where you can go to bid on it.
I hand drilled and glued in each rivet. I cut out a spot in the back of the helmet for a 5 port USB hub which I sealed in to match the helmet contour. After several coats of primer I coated the entire helmet with real copper then added chemical for patina effect. Inside the helmet I installed a small Amp with 2 surround sound speakers hooked up to it. You can plug an Ipod, Iphone, Computer, etc. to the amp which plays through the speakers and can be heard out the outside ear vents. The system is very loud if turned all the way up. In the back there is a 5 port USB Hub in which you can plug 5 USB plugs into then plug into your computer. You can also charge your Iphone, Ipod in one of the ports with a charge adapter. Topps is releasing a Star Wars Empire Strikes Back set in 3D. I have been asked to do sketch cards for the set. I will post scans as I get them approved. I will have a very limited amount of returns if anyone is interested in one. These cards are in Widevision format. The Set will release in May 2010. I have been really busy since my heart attack working on a lot of projects and commissions. I wanted to thank everyone who sent their best wishes to me, etc. I recently finished sketch cards for a Voltron set being produced by 5Finity. I was asked to do a special insert set for the Voltron sketch card set in which I did 10 animation cel sketch cards. They are drawn like the cartoon was originally produced. I hand inked & painted my Voltron artwork onto clear plastic cels which were then attached to the official card. I can only show one at the time but will post more when allowed. I will be getting several Voltron sketch cards back if anyone is interested in one. Only 1 cel return. I will have more info posted shortly about the set.

Well I didn’t want to mention it to much at first when I did a print of this drawing for Star Wars Fan Days III but for those who don’t already know I will have a base card that will be part of Topps upcoming Star Wars Galaxy 5 set. The original artwork for the card was recently auctioned off for charity at Star Wars Fan Days III. Sorry I forgot the winners name but your support is greatly appreciated.
